Primary Texts by Collections
These are some of the collections:
Corpus Scriptorum Latinorum A digital library of the entire body of Latin literature, both in Latin and in translation.
Library of Ancient Texts OnlineThe Greek counterpart to Corpus Scriptorum Latinorum.
LacusCurtius - Ancient Texts
Perseus Digital Library
Ancient History SourcebookThe emphasis of Ancient History Sourcebook is primary texts, including those not found in Perseus. It also includes links to art and archeology material. Once again, the benefit over Perseus is that each primary text is found in a single page, but the caveat again is some translations are perhaps not as good as the Perseus’ translation.
The Internet Classics ArchiveThe web-site contains some primary texts of classical literature, like Augustus’ Res Gestae, Tacitus’ Annals etc, has been translated into English and include those not found in Perseus. The benefit of this web-site over Perseus is that each primary text is found in a single page so it makes searching easier. On the down side, I don’t like some of the translations.
Latin LibraryThis is a good library of primary texts. Unfortunately, everything is in Latin and there is no search engine. Thus, unless you plan to read entire text or you know the citation, you will be lost.
Bibliotheca AugustanA German web-site which has both Latin and Greek primary texts.
The Duke Papyrus Archive"The Duke Papyrus Archive provides electronic access to texts about and images of nearly 1400 papyri from ancient Egypt."
Isidore of Seville's Classical Library"A Library of Ancient Texts with User-Submitted Commentary."
